FEEDING LONG ISLAND

At the heart of every community on Long Island, individuals, volunteers, and non-profits are working hard to make a difference in the lives of others and our team at Compass Insurance is no exception.

Food: It’s one of our most basic needs and one that far too many of our neighbors don’t have enough of. Our goal is to raise awareness around the lack of resources offered to children from underprivileged families. Our latest Community Cause campaign will provide assistance and resources to improve the lives of local children experiencing food insecurity.

We are proud to announce that our agency will be joining the nonprofit Long Island Cares in its mission to provide a shared voice on hunger and food access issues. Since its inception, this noble organization has helped distribute more than 11 million meals to 73,000 Long Islanders in need!

Youth education programs, food drives, and youth advocacy programs are just a few of the ways Long Island Cares supports people in our community. Moreover, the staff and volunteers host events all year long to raise money and awareness for our community’s most vulnerable neighbors, enabling them to receive the tools and resources they need to be well and thrive. Whether it’s an annual dinner or a local food drive, check out what’s happening in our local area and see how you can get involved!

Here’s the best part: We’ve made it easy for you to help! Simply recommend friends and family to us for an insurance quotation, and we’ll donate $10 to help feed these food-insecure families. Together, we can make a real difference. Together, we can make Long Island better – for everyone!
