Extend a Lifeline: Helping the Homeless

Access to essential resources like food is a critical issue on Long Island, where the poverty rate has reached its highest point in over 50 years. Currently, around 197,000 people live below the national poverty line, struggling to secure their basic needs.

Homelessness encompasses more than the lack of a stable home; it jeopardizes one’s emotional and physical health. Our agency is dedicated to supporting initiatives that empower the less fortunate to lead healthy, productive lives. This quarter, our campaign highlights the remarkable efforts of the Lend a Hand group within the community.

The Lend a Hand Project is a distinguished organization that significantly improves the lives of those in need on Long Island through the principles of charitable giving. Their dedicated team of staff and volunteers has fostered personal connections with thousands of individuals and families, offering support when no one else can. Their mission extends beyond addressing material shortages; they aim to integrate people into a supportive network that can disrupt the cycle of despair by easing financial burdens while respecting personal autonomy.

You can impact a neighbor’s life through the generosity and help provided by LAHP. To advance their mission, the Lend a Hand Project accepts monetary donations. Recommend our insurance services to friends and family, and we’ll donate $10 for each referral to support local families in need. Together, we can create meaningful change for everyone.
