Many Long Island families are in dire need of good access to food and nutritious meals. There is a need for urgent attention to all the people suffering from lack of food right here in our backyard and Compass Insurance Group is doing all it can to help these food-insecure families.

The population of Long Island is increasing at a very rapid rate. There are more mouths to feed, and so many families are having trouble keeping up with the rising cost of food. The result is hunger and hopelessness for many families around us. According to statistics, every one out of four people is suffering from malnutrition, with numbers increasing every year.

We here at Compass Insurance group have vowed to help those with limited to little access to food by providing them with meals for themselves and their loved ones. Working with Long Island Harvest Food Bank in this aspiring project, we will ensure the goal of ending food insecurity in our community.

Island Harvest has become Long Island’s largest hunger-relief organization with the mission“to end hunger and reduce food waste on Long Island.” Since its inception, they have delivered 130 million pounds of food, supplementing 108 million meals.  With your help, we can increase this number and help even more people!
